A $172.7 million budget that will close the Hamburg Turnpike branch is expected to be approved by trustees at Thursday's public hearing.

The library has operated for more than 40 years at the Preakness School and is owned by the public school district.

A $4.2 million project will bring an early childhood learning center complete with 12 classrooms to the school, expected to open by fall 2021, NorthJersey.com reports.
